The MCU/Comics synergy sucks. I miss when writers could write their original stories instead of writing stuff mandated by the movies. Come back to me old Marvel. :(

You’re right Anon, Marvel creators aren’t allowed to come up with anything that doesn’t align with the MCU. That’s why Victoria Hand, Maria Hill, and Daisy Johnson are all part of the MCU now. Just because creators take aspects of the MCU and incorporate it into their work - you know, to take advantage of those potential new readers the movies attract - doesn’t mean it’s “mandated.” Furthermore, a lot of the creators working in the MCU details have the industry clout that if they were forced to include it they could walk away from the job and still find work elsewhere in comics.
