Bendis said that kitty pryde was in fact a member and leader of the original X-men. So I don't understand why you keep saying kitty isn't. Do you just not want to change her place in X-men canon and membership. This would make her the 7rh member
AnonymousNo, I’m sorry, it wouldn’t, nor is that what Brian is saying. Kitty joined the X-Men in the present, years after all of those otehr characters had joined. The fact that she is currently educating the time-displaced young X-Men in the present does not change the order or timeframe in which she joined. This is something that you clearly care a lot about, but I simply do not agree with you on it.
What Bendis said was that Kitty is essentially playing the role of Professor X to the O5. I took that to mean Kitty is no more a member of the O5 than Xavier was, meaning she’s not. At least that was my understanding.
