Why not introduce a new War Machine since the role is empty. It'd be interesting to turn the whole diversity thing on it's head and make him a white average American.

Ok, the fact that this person is basically equating being white with being average says a lot more about them than I think they meant to say.
I say this as a white person - if your idea of the “average American” is white, that’s why more diversity is needed in comics, movies, tv, books, etc.
